In 2003, The City of Midland requested Vandergriff Group Architects, PC to generate a fresh renaissance of vision for Midland's Downtown. Extensive meetings with Midland stakeholders began to produce a theme of revitalization, with emphasis on the downtown pedestrian. Example projects and improvements were proposed for a detailed, long-range collaboration between public and private stakeholders.  Bold strategies began to suggest a vibrant, active Town Center, where economic development and quality of life issues within the Downtown Area were of equal importance.  This effort led to the City of Midland's recent hiring of Vandergriff Group to design development strategies for Midland's central city park and outdoor space.  Work of this project is in progress.
