Stonegate Fellowship Church - Phase I | Midland, Texas

This large church asked Vandergriff Group Architects to review all educational, administrative and worship center activities of the church and render building solutions for a 20 year campus plan.  The result is an innovative 2-story educational building that changes the traditional role of the education process to an open gathering central area that includes breakout modules for groups of  12 to 15 students. The building design structured six pods of educational age groupings, each themed and space planned to the age group.  The building’s social gathering spaces with 20 feet wide corridors and large open areas were designed for social exchange and movement of large populations.  Future phases include a 2,000 seat worship center and 30,000 square feet of gathering space. The overall communal aspects of gathering and fellowship were redesigned with better circulation and social space.
